Well the Devil is a spiritual being already, unlike human beings that are both physical and spirit.. He was the first creature that ever wanted to be in a place where God is not Lord of all. And the only place that God created for him is Hell.

Common sense would dictate to me that if God gave the Devil a new start then he must give everyone a new start. But if that happened what would be the motive to stop sinning in any one lifetime. If in another lifetime you get another chance.

That can never happen. So that is why the spiritual consequences for rebellion and disobedience is so very high.

God's nature is that He is a Holy God and it never changes. This is why eternal punishment is constant and never changes. But it is also why God's love is eternal also. Better to turn from sin now and worship God then to end up like the Devil where it is forever too late.

i think recognising or admitting our own egocentric strikes or needs is a competent subject. i'm no longer Catholic, i may well be attentive to greater approximately unfavourable consequences from the strikes of clergymen than beneficial ones so for me it may well be like confessing to a paedophile. speaking to a councillor or friends is a competent subject so i assume clergymen have carried out a provider for the era of history in that way, yet i think of their time is performed, they're now no longer suited for many individuals. For me to flow away a toddler on my own with a clergyman, may well be a sin.

The reason that the Devil cannot be saved is because he committed an unpardonable offence against God. Like humans, the angels, of which Satan (the Devil, the Evil One) was one, were given free will by God. Satan chose to use his free will to rebel against God. Because he freely chose this path of disobedience without any external influences to sway him, he and his followers were cast out of heaven. Satan is eternally damned. Besides, Satan would never submit to God, that is part of the reason he is in hell in the first place.

The devil saw all truth, He didn't need faith like humans. he saw Adam created, He saw Jesus live and die. he doesn't get a 2nd chance.

It seems everyone has missed the actual answer. So here is the reason why!

God condemned Satan to destruction because of what he did using Eve as a channel to cause Adam to sin. God casts His judgement in this verse right here:

Genesis 3:15 "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel."

"I will put enmity between thee and the woman..."

God can only be said to do so by leaving the serpent and his seed to the influence of their own corruption; and by those measures which, pursued for the salvation of men, fill Satan and his angels with envy and rage.

"thou shalt bruise his heel..."

The serpent wounds the heel that crushes him; and so Satan would be permitted to afflict the humanity of Christ and bring suffering and persecution on His people.

"it shall bruise thy head..."

The serpent’s poison is lodged in its head; and a bruise on that part is fatal. Thus, fatal shall be the stroke which Satan shall receive from Christ, though it is probable he did not at first understand the nature and extent of his doom.

Satan's fate was written in stone at that very moment. Satan could confess all day and night, but it would do no good. He was doomed from Genesis 3:15 on...

As far as Satan is concerned, everything that he ever knew, or could have known came to an end at Genesis 3:15...

EDIT: Thumbs-Down for stating the truth that the majority of the theological community agrees with, and giving scripture to back it up? My,my I really pushed a button with Satan it seems! :-) Good for me!

No.
The Bible tells us of the devil's fate. He will be thrown into the lake of fire.
God made a plan for the redemption and salvation of mankind. Jesus died and rose again for our sake.
God made no plan for the redemption or salvation of the devil or the devil's angels.
Thank God.

God and the Devil are one in the same.
God is almighty, all powerful and omnipotent. God is perfect and THE ALL CREATOR. So God created the Devil perfectly, just like God created us.

Err,....no. His chance to do so ended the moment Christ said "It is finished". The only thing for satan to look forward to is the reward of his pathetic rebellion against the Throne. If a lake of fire can be somehow be thought of as a reward, that is.
