Is there a specific person or entity, or is it "God in everything" type of belief?

Just wondering.

Wicca, as a polytheistic religion, honors many deities. Indeed, every deity than has ever been, in all the cultures of human history, could be honored in the Wiccan faith. Notice that I said honored, not worshipped. Aphrodite is the Greek goddess of love, and Amaterasu is the Japanese goddess of then sun. They all have something to offer. Many Wiccans honor ALL gods, because they all deserve respect and recognition. Every deity has something to offer, or they wouldn't have been honored in the first place.

Now, while Wiccans *honor* all deities, many tend to *worship* only a select few. As a rule, we worship a male god and a female goddess, because one of the basic beliefs in Wicca is that all life is a balance - male, female; life, death; good, evil.
As far as which specific deity to worship, that has a lot of possibilities. For some it's the Celtic pantheon, Dagda, Lugh, Brigit, and so on. Others favor the Greek, others the Egyptians. Some worship the ancestral spirits of the Native Americans. One of the perks of Wicca is that it lets you do that. The framework of faith is basically the same, but you can customize it to suit the pantheon you are working with. I know a few who worship Jesus and Mary, of the Christian faith, but they are still Wiccan. Myself, I follow the Celtic deity Cernunnos, and the Greek Goddess Aphrodite.

It is generally recognized, though, that the male and female deities are facets of an archetype - all male deities are aspects of the masculine archetype, all female deities are aspects of the female. So when working with a large number of Wiccans, who might worship a whole myraid of deities, one would speak of the "Lord and Lady", thus referring to the archetypes.

And beyond that, it's often said that "all gods are one god", in that, just as the many gods of different religions are facets of the archetype, then the male and female archetypes are facets of the "Divine Mystery".

(A lot of Christians come to this point, and say, "Yeah, all gods are one god, and that god is God The Father! You Wiccans are all just fooling yourselves!"
To them I say, "God has many faces, and many names. If you think that God can only be this way or do these things, that's like demanding that God put on a nametag and a uniform and punch the clock, to do the job you want him to do. God is too big to fit inside one religion. All deities, in all cultures in the history of human civilization, are valid interpretations of the divine.")

So, the Wiccan God is many, and two, and one. There, confused now? /grin

Some Wiccans believe that all Goddesses are aspects of one Goddess and all Gods are aspects of one God. Therefore, the Goddess and God can be worshipped in a number of different ways, under different names and specializations -- sort of like tuning in a radio to the specific frequency you want. This is called soft polytheism.

Other Wiccans believe that each God and Goddess is a unique being, and are therefore hard polytheists.

Many Wiccans believe that the universe is the living body of the God and the Goddess, therefore everything is infused with Their divinity, and everything partakes of sacredness.

Most Wiccans have specific God/dess aspects that they deal with on a regular basis. In initiatory Traditions, a God and Goddess unique to that Tradition are usually passed down within the covens.

The Lord and Lady express the male and female aspects of God or the divine energies of the make up of God as expressed and demonstrated in nature. This is no more far fetched or absurd as the Judeo-Christian belief that God is a male and can be understood as that or that there is a Devil whom can't be forgiven mean while these tyrannical people that are forgiven fit nicely into a "church" as they screw up and corrupt that all in the name of God.

Wicca is a polytheisic religion - they worship a panthenon of gods and goddesses, the main one (in some branches) being the triple goddess. They also don't have "sins" as such, but believe in the rule of three. If you do something bad it will rebound on you three times worse.

There are a lot of deities, and sometimes it depends on the individual or small group who they worship or follow.

I'm Pagan in general but I don't have a specific diety to follow.
