his age (2 yrs difference)
and he doesn't go to college yet (should be freshman)
and i like him, but don't know if i should continue dating him because my parents ..or rather my mom thinks he's a loser for the above reasons.

Yes. But think if your parents have some points. If you think that your parents are only being unreasonable, continue dating this guy.

I dated a lot of girls/women that my parents did not approve of. When my wife and I married, neither set of parents approved. We had no big probs, both 26 yr old, both college educated, same race, same religion, same core values. She was a city girl and I was a farm boy. We've been married 41 yrs. My parents have not had anything to do with us since our wedding. Hers fought with us till the day they died. So, if you do marry someone they do not approve, be prepared for the worst. If we had it to do all over again, we would do it all over again. Good luck

Im dating someone my parents dont approve of... your dating him not your parents. If you want to thats your choice not your parents they should support you whether they like him or not just because you want to date him. Parents will always tell you that you deserve better but dont let your folks get in the way of your happiness.

Yes. I would someone my parents diapprove of. My dad would not approve of the guy you dated but It wouldnt worry me. If you like him go for it!
