Romans had slaves. We do not.
Romans derived their income from military conquest. We do not.
Romans loved blood sports where people died in the action. We do not even allow dog fighting to legally take place.
Clearly, we are not like the Romans in those regards.

I am not familiar with roam, but I think you are talking about Rome. The Roman Empire was the most powerful military and economic power on the planet during their time. The United States is the most powerful military and economic power on the planet in the 21st century. Both became morally corrupt. Christianity was punished by death, in some instances. It hasn't become that bad in the U.S. yet, but there are open attacks against anything and anyone who professes to be Christian while Pagan Gods were openly worshipped. Homosexuality was rampant in Rome and is so in the U.S. today. I think the main reason Rome fell was the decay of the family and the lack of a moral compass. The most important thing we should have in our lives is GOD. Both turned their back on GOD. The Romans became apathetic as is happening in the U.S. Both had their own currency and a modern lifestyle for the times. The Romans had their Barbarians. The U.S. has our Muslim Terrorists. The Barbarians were bent on the destruction of Rome. The Barbaric Muslim terrorists are bent on the destruction of the U.S.

"can you compare and contrast..."
Yes, I sure can.
So could you, if you did your OWN homework instead of asking others to do it for you.
