Note, I had a crush on him before he was my boss. Basically, we're both in the military, he outranks me, and he's 17 years older than me! What's wrong with me? Why can't I like guys that are attainable for me!

While I have never had a crush on a boss, I did have crush on a teacher in high school who was probably 10 to 12 years older than me at the time.
I don't think there is anything wrong with you. Sometimes that is just the way that it is. Sometimes we are attracted to people who are older than us because of their maturity, they are fun to be around or any number of reasons. Please don't think that you are abnormal - because you are not the first person to be attracted to someone older than yourself and you sure won't be the last person to be attracted to someone who is older than you.
You just need to keep on looking and eventually the right person will be attracted to you to!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately all my bosses have been women. I was infatuated with a nursing school instructor (man he was cute, and I was married lol). He always called me Cinderella. He looked like Arnold Schwartzeneger and was from Germany.

he looked like GEORGE CLOONEY haha, so yes i was automatically in love with him.
would i ever take it anywhere? oh god no, that's perverted, but it was fun to imagine. :)
honestly, just keep your chin up and keep looking!
