Have you ever cut your own hair???

Do you ever come home after getting it cut at a salon, find something wrong, and chop off some more yourself?

No, but i've tried to save a buck by trying to cut my hair first, realizing i ruined it, and went to the hair cutters to have them salvage the damage...

No, I usually trust the professionals.

Although the last haircut I got was self-inflicted. I just squared the tips of my hair, which I'm letting grow long. I had gone to a hairdressers six months before, to get that sort of thing done -- the hairdresser was just my neighbor, and I decided to go to them just to give the poor bastards some business (the property tax went up again in our area, so some neighbors are having trouble hanging onto the houses they've live in for over 50 years) -- anyway, the shits just giggled at how my hair was so much thinner at the tips than at the roots --- precisely why I wanted the trim -- thinking I couldn't understand the native language. I found that so rude, so I'm never going back there again.

I've been cutting, coloring & styling my own hair for the past 6 years & get compliments all the time.

I started doing it because my stylist wasn't listening to me - rather she was doing what she wanted with my hair - I felt like a guinea pig, not a customer.

Also, it was never relaxing when I went to the salon because they allowed people to bring kids in with them & they were always cutting up & misbehaving.

I've found I can do what I want, when I want now, I don't have to get all gussied up to go to a salon + I can then work on my pc, make crafts, watch a movie - whatever I want.

Its just so much better!!

No, I've never cut my hair after going to the salon but I have personally given myself bangs a couple of times and it turned out bad :(

I just cut my hair myself about 2 weeks ago.

It was down to my rear and I dont trust salons. They see long blonde hair and they are like Oohh ya we gotta get rid of that

So i got tired of it and picked up about 5 inches and chopped... had some help gettin it straight and even gave myself some awesome layers. It looks good and i saved 50 bucks .

I never go to a salon. I always cut my own hair. I just use a set of clippers and cut it all off, though.

Too many years in the Army. I don't like any hair on my head.

When I was a little kid, my parents didn't take me to the hair salon when I wanted to cut my hair. So I became impatient and decided to cut my bangs myself. I cut almost 2 inches off and none of my hair was align. My parents got really mad at me and I hated my hair. Trust me, never cut your own hair when you are only 5 years old! :-*

Yeah, a while ago I got it layered, but the guy didnt do it very drastic, so I did myself. That started it all. Now I like to switch between cutting my bangs straight across, and when they grow in I sometimes switch it up and cut them like side bangs. Every month or so. And I used to dye my hair like crazy, so my hair is really damaged now, so I often trim a few inches off to get rid of the mangled split ends.

Once, I went to a salon and they cut my hair really weird. So I went to the mall, bought a good pair of scissors, and made my hair look way better.

i wanted a scene hair cut and i told my salon lady to do it and she didnt cuz she likes preppy
so i was like screw this
went home and tried to make my hair choppy
BAD IDEA
one side is longer than the other by about an inch
and it looks like a 5 year old cut it!
