For those of you here with an interest in politics, what are your thoughts on Ron Paul? I recently got wind of him and I kinda like his stance on most issues. Alot of democrats seem to be keen on him as well. However, I can't believe he will actually become a candidate. What are your thoughts on him?

I think he is the best prospective laeder this country has. I am tired of politicians talking about our founding fathers and adopting policies they would be revolted by especially our foreign policy. We outsource jobs to other countries to help big business cirumnavigate Labor Laws while allowing illegal immigrants to come here and take the jobs thatare left and devaluing the dollar giving social security benefits to illegals who have never payed social security in there life its madness. Ron Paul can stop it. I am voting for him. We dont need news organizations to cover him. The truth will be heard if we tell it. His message cannot be ignored.

I personally like him a lot and although I am a registered democrat I would definitely vote for him in the election. I believe he is the most straightforward out of all the candidates and he seems to have a solid game plan on what he would do if he became president.

He is also very good during speeches and gets to the point quickly and does not BS! I feel these are qualities that make a good president regardless of their party.

Above all, he knows where our country is extremely weak(military spending, empire building) and knows now is the time to focus on the domestic. He is gaining support and I hope he is elected.

As you can see with all these responses, he is the revolution. I recommend watching "freedom to fascism" on google to explain what is really going on with our country. We are at war and I'm not talking about Iraq. The war is elites vs. American people. Elites control everything or try to and people are brainwashed into believing it. Hence the media and mindless celebrity gossip plus other things to keep people off the issues of sacrificing their liberties. If Ron Paul does not win, there will be a revolution in our country. I am truly affraid of the 2012 profiecy the Mayans predicted becuase we are well on are way. I will be a first time voter even though I have had chances before. I never donated so much money to one man and bought so much Ron Paul promotion gear (hats, signs, shirts, etc.) We are not the internet , We are people that have woken up!!!!!

Ron Paul all way!!!!!!!!

As salaamu 'alaikym, my friend.

He states some interesting ideas and his thoughts seem filled with common sense, which is usually the "kiss of death" politically.

He is against the war in Iraq and our over involvement in the Middle East. He seems to understand the dangerous economic path this nation is following and how the same could easily cause the collapse of this nation.

For a Republican, he is a throw back to the days of Lincoln.

Insha'Allah, I am actually tempted to register as a Republican so that I could vote for him in the primaries in my state (i.e., the Commonwealth of Massachusetts). I am, in fact more impressed by him than any other candidate, of either major party, who is currently running for the office of President of these United States of America.

Ma'a salaam.

I have been considering becoming part of the Ron Paul Revolution. I also agree with a lot of what he has to say. I do think because he doesn't have the right friends he won't get a fair shake from the party or main stream media, so it would have to be a real revolution in every state for him to win the party's ticket.

I respect Ron Paul even if I don't agree with him on everything. He has integrity. He is one of the few politicians out there who will tell you what he really believes. He makes his decisions based on his values rather than on which way the political wind is blowing.

He should be the next president, but never will be. Why? Because big government is scared of Ron Paul and his strictly constitutional stance. Ever notice how little you hear of him in the mass media? Better believe, the fix is in.

Makes me glad I'm still registered as a Republican in my home state (Oddly, it was to vote for McCain eight years ago. Remember when he was the 'maverick' candidate?).

And I don't give a damn that he's not going to win, I'm voting in the primary and writing his name in the general election if it comes to that. Hearing someone actually espouse the virtues of limited government is worth a so-called 'wasted vote'.

I love him. I have his bumper sticker on my car!

I like it that he is for smaller government - he has voted consistently in the entire 30 years that he has served in our government he has never voted to increase the federal government. He gives back a portion of his conressional budget to the government every year because he doesn't use it all... what other candidate has ever done that?! He also never voted for the war in Iraq.

He has my respect b/c he sticks to his guns and you know what you're going to get when you vote for him. He's not sticking his finger in the wind to see how to vote.

I also respect him because he is against abortion. That is a very important issue to me.
