If I could never tell then that means I can't tell now so! "DUH!"
The Masonic lodge make you swear an oath to not tell any one else what they teach you!
if you tell it is under penalty of death and even though that would not be what happens it is an incentive to keep the secrets!

I cut myself. I've told a few people, but gotten mixed reactions. They all tried to make me stop. One of them told other people and ruined our friendship. One finally accepted it and I can talk to her, but I could never tell anyone like my parents...
