not the phrase " nor have they any longer a reward " mean there will be no resurrection or rewards after life - even for Jehovah's Witnesses?

Webboffing: Sorry, I had to blog you. If you gave answers, it would be different. But you just follow me around and make nasty remarks. If you do not want to answer, just skip it. I think it is important to talk about these doctrinal differences since JWs claim to be Christians.
I am not worried about my name here. I am defending Word of God. His Word is the same for everyone.

Jehovahb..: Why do not you just answer my questions if you can.
My questions are not nasty. You have a nasty attitude yourself if you think like that. I have made it known that I disagree with JWs doctrines, and my questions are around JW doctrines
I already told in other question that I am a non-denominational Christian.

Dorothy H: What gives? And how is this question offensive? I am not trying to have any kind of name for myself here, and you should understand that as Christian. I am defending Christianity. If you cannot take it, there are plenty of other questions around here for you to answer. Remember, for them you are not a real Christian. Does not that irk you?

We do not all sleep.
Listen to what Paul says:
1 Corinthians 15:51-52
"Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed - in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the LAST trumpet .
For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Hebrews 4:3-6
For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.
Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:

The Bible has had it right for millenniums. “A live dog is better off than a dead lion. For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten.” (Ecclesiastes 9:4, 5) Does that mean there is absolutely no hope for the dead? Jesus Christ preach about resurrection to life on a restored paradise earth. His Jewish follower Martha, whose brother, Lazarus, had just died, believed in the resurrection, for she said of Lazarus: “I know he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.” (John 11:24) To this, Jesus answered: “I am the resurrection and the life. He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life; and everyone that is living and exercises faith in me will never die at all. Do you believe this?” (John 11:25, 26) Earlier, he had said: “Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.” John 5:28, 29; Luke 23:43. As you can see there will be a resurrection of both the righteous. and the unrighteous. Please do further research in you Bible to get a better understanding.

Is it really biblical to describe resurrection as "a reward" for all the dead? Absolutely NOT. True Christians (such as Jehovah's Witnesses) easily recognize that salvation is an undeserved GIFT, rather than some earned reward. Both righteous AND UNRIGHTEOUS are resurrected !
(Romans 3:23-24) For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and it is as a free gift that they are being declared righteous by his undeserved kindness through the release by the ransom paid by Christ Jesus.
(Ecclesiastes 7:20) For there is no man righteous in the earth that keeps doing good and does not sin.
(Romans 6:23) For the wages sin pays is death, but the gift God gives is everlasting life by Christ Jesus our Lord.
(Acts 24:15) There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.
(John 5:28) Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which ALL those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice [caps added]
The resurrection to a paradise earth begins after Armageddon, while Satan is imprisoned in "the abyss". It seems rather obvious that a person's eternal "reward" must be based on his efforts to be faithful AFTER he has been trained in an earth free from Satanic influence. At the end of Christ's Millennial Reign, all of humankind will have the opportunity to prove themselves.
(Revelation 20:2-3,7-10) And [Jesus] seized the dragon, the original serpent, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. And he hurled him into the abyss and shut it and sealed it over him, that he might not mislead the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. ...Now as soon as the thousand years have been ended, Satan will be let loose out of his prison, 8 and he will go out to mislead those nations... And they advanced over the breadth of the earth... But fire came down out of heaven and devoured them. And the Devil who was misleading them was hurled into the lake of fire [the second death from which resurrection is impossible]

full verse:
Ecclessiaste 9:5
For the living know that they will die; but the dead know nothing, and they have no more reward, for the memory of them is forgotten.
-"no more reward" means in this physical life. The verse continues the memory of them is forgotten - still speaking of our physical world.
Everyone sleeps until the resurrection.
1Thessalonians 4:14-17
For if we believe that Yahshua died and rose again, even so Yahweh will bring with Him those who sleep in Yahshua. For this we say to you by the word of Yahweh, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Master will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Master Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of Yahweh. And the dead in Messiah will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Master in the air. And thus we shall always be with Yahweh.

Eccl. 9:5 For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten.
It means that they are not getting any earthly prize.

This is a point I oft bring out to JWs. First, v. 5 states that "the memory of them is forgotten". Does God really forget those who die? If so, how is it possible that he will remember them in order to resurrect them? Secondly, v 6 states that "neither have they any more a portion FOREVER in ANYTHING that is done under the sun". If this is so, what happens to the WTS doctrine of a future paradise on earth for those who will be raised from the dead?
Moises: the penalty for our sin is NOT paid upon our death. It was paid upon Christ's death, which bought our atonement and brought us under the covenant of Grace rather than under law. I'm really shocked that you did not know this. I thought I remembered the WT teaching the same thing. Has that changed, or are you confused on what they are teaching on this matter?

You have a funny way of showing your Christian love for someone herself that makes nasty remarks your questions are not exactly Christ in mind like.
Why not stop using God and Jesus Christ as tools for your vendettas. Most people already know about you and are not interested in your twisted ideas yet you like to claim you are under the conduct of Christ.
Sorry but people are not swayed by your notorious lies. You only get people who already have your mind set to agree. You win nobody over.
You can blog me too if you want, I will rejoice that you thought me worthy too to be dishonoured like weboffin was.
Why not tell us what religion and denomination you are from?
Let them know who they have as a representative?
Silence? Oh, we thought so!
