Your friend is talking about a lucid dream. When you have a lucid dream, you become aware that you are dreaming, and then you can re-write the dream to suit yourself. There are ways out there that you can apparently train your self how to have a lucid dream, but it requires commitment to develop the attitude you need to do it. Even if you do learn how to lucid dream, the recurring dreams are trying to tell you something about a situation or issue you need to resolve in your life, and they won't stop until you have resolved the issue, even if you can train yourself to change the direction of how the dream turns out. Why don't you post the recurrent dream for interpretation, and maybe somebody can help you figure out what the issue is that you need to work on? That way, you can try to resolve the issue that is causing the dreams, and you will be that much farther ahead, not only in your dreaming life, but your waking life as well, changing the dream doesn't change the issue, and doesn't change the outcome of the issue, it only makes it so you aren't being confronted by something you need to deal with............

You can't do anything like murder if it is not in you personality when dreaming . Of course you can actually fly, I mean feel like it. It must be what heaven is like because I dreamed that and so did my father. It was wonderful and the feeling was of freedom, no cares. But as far as harming anyone, no.

Its called lucid dreaming. Its very hard to accomplish this, and usually people who don't try have this gift. Lucid dreaming is when you get to change anything in your dream as if you are completely aware and awake in that dream.

yes, that is known as lucid dreaming. the problem with controlling you're dreams is that you must be aware of the fact that you are dreaming before you can control what you do. when people dream, it usually feels real to them and they aren't aware of it. or you may know you're dreaming but you forget that you want to control what's going on!

I guess that can happen.... Sometimes when I'm having a nightmare and am aware of it, I wake myself up. But that's all I've accomplished in dream land so far.
