why do people call them brown labs? I have heard this a lot lately. but anyway, find a name that fits the pups personality. for us names change and evolve with the dog over the weeks and months.

I think you should just watch it play for a while and name your dog according to its personality, not just Brownie because it's brown! Get to know your dog better so you can find a name that really suits him/her!

Labs are very sweet!

Pick a unique name. Everyone uses the standard ones dealing with chocolate. If you live anywhere there is an Indian tribe, use an Indian name that means something to you.
A lady I know named her female yellow Lab, Kanali, which is Cherokee for companion.
