My daughter who is almost 20 had a bad dream about me.
She lives overseas and the other night she called me & was very upset as she had dreamt that i had drowned.
She said she was crying hysterically for 2 hours and that the dream was vivid.
She describes me smiling "with pride" at herself and her younger brother and then i slipped into a pool.
I was trying to get to the edge and panicking, ( i can't swim and am nervous of water in general)
Anyway i was desperately trying to get to the edge, my dauhter dived in as i was at the bottom and she managed to get me out.
She then tried first aid on me (mouth to mouth) and i came back but then i lost consiousness again.
So then her father (my ex husband) tried first aid but nothing could be done.
She said she laid by my body for 2 hours before she could let anybody touch me.
She says she woke up crying hysterically and was crying for 2 hours. She was so worried that something had happened to me.

She begged me in an e-mail to say i am ok.
This has been a great upset for her.
I reassured i was ok.
But in my real life i am very unhappy, i have felt low and desperate strangely more so lately.
Please can anybody tell me of any significance that this dream has.
Can anybody interpret it?
Obviously i am worried too.
My daughters words were "Please stay away from pools"

She also says her overall opinion of the dream was that it seemed i was saying goodbye to her and her brother before i drowned.
(Smiling at them both as if to say i am proud of you both)

It represents that you are literally, just as you said, being over whelmed by your emotions, you are literally drowning in unhappiness, and your daughter feels helpless to help you find your way............ Reassure your daughter, it is not at all a prophetic dream, but subconsciously she has picked up on your unhappiness, water is symbolic of emotions, and the condition of the water, or what happens there, indicates the state of our emotions..... As for the smiling part, your children are the one bright spot in and otherwise unhappy chapter of your life, which I suspect is connected to your ex husband, and whatever is going on there with respect to your break up, and having to pick up the pieces of that, you don't say how long ago you ended the marriage, but I get the impression you are still trying to pick up the pieces and find your way, and that you are not feeling very empowered in getting your life back on track...............good luck, tell your daughter I said not to worry about pools, that's not what it is about .............

I have to agree with beatlefa. I think your daughter is picking up on your depressed state. You have a great connection with her. Don't worry to much I don't think it is prophetic either.
