I don't think it should be Floyd Mayweather Jr. I think it should be Joe Calzaghe. Definitley if he beats Kessler.

RÏ© Z£ÑßÅ¢h ™ ! I'm sure Calzaghe could win a Heavyweight title if he wanted to and put on more muscle looking at the current state of the heavyweight division.

I think the best pound 4 pound should be the Pacman, He has been giving quite a show in his fights. Also, even i HATE to admitt it, i think mayweather should be also. He is a smart boxer, and he has been winning.

Joe Calzaghe? Maybe when he dominates several divisions like Floyd. Floyd was an Olympic medalist who QUICKLY rose the the Super Featherweight Championship. And worked hard to be Jr. Middleweight Champion. Yeah, he has a big mouth. No one can beat him though, and guess what? If you look at all of the questions on here, MANY are about Floyd... more than any other current fighter. He is bringing interest back to the sport, that is GREAT for boxing. He is an amazing fighter, and an interesting charactor. Joe Calzaghe can win a Heavyweight title like Roy Jones did, then we'll talk.

I don't think it's Calzaghe either. What the hell has he done?? It's gotta be Pacman Manny Pacquiao. For a while, the pound-for-pound title has been a toss-up between Pacquiao and Mayweather, with the latter gaining the nod of the so called "boxing geniuses" around though it's obviously a close call. Viewed from another angle, it could be Pacquiao in a photo finish. At this time, however, Floyd is semi-retired and has been inactive since his boring win over De la Hoya. It's logical therefore to give the title to Manny Pacquiao. Pacquiao has been on a roll, beating Mexican legends, and providing us with exciting and entertaining fights and not those boring cat and mouse game Floyd has displayed. He's like little Tyson, someone you'd pay to watch.

Mayweather is the P4P king until someone beats him whether you love him or hate him. IF, and this is a big IF, Calzaghe does get by Kessler I would put him in 3rd or 2nd. As of right now I think he's 4th.

Floyd mayweather even though i dislike him so much. A close second is Miguel Cotto. I don't think Pacquiao is the best because he already has lost 3 times and has a draw and if he were to move up to 140 he would get knocked out.

JUAN DIAZ hands down ..... is great action fighter that comes forward with punches from all angles...never backs up and never stops punching, averages something like 85 punches a round for all 12.... has a great chin and now with top names getting blown out, the rest of the world shall see this Kid from houston... most people will say Mayweather because the media says so BUT WHEN HAVE YOU SEEN A REALLY GOOD MAYWEATHER FIGHT, most of his fights are boring with more jogging around the ring than fighting ....and for you to be POUND 4 POUND BEST FIGHTER you actually have to fight.....and with PacMan, i will agree that he is good but he beat Legends like Morales and Barrera well past their prime in the twilight of their careers.. and when he fought a young mexican in Marquez he faded badly in the end and should of loss but got a promoters decision....JUAN DIAZ DID CALL MANNY PACMAN OUT a few weeks ago, tellin him to take on a young mexican champion rather than Aging Mexican Legends, so is up to Manny To Make it Happen....... there is a bunch of guys that are undefeated but with the exception of Hatton no one brings more action all the Time than MY Boy Juan DIAZ .... and in a few years when the rest of the world knows you can say voneric already told ya

My pick is Manny, reason he fights and he wins, fights with tough champions. Key word Fights.
I wouldn't pick Mayweather because although he is very skilled defensively he does not FIGHT. I've see several of his fights and there were several opponents that beat him but he got the decision, Castillo, Jesus Chavez, Dela Hoya, and Demarcus Corley, just to name a few.
Mayweather is a PAPER CHAMPION.
