American men do drink tea. In the past, tea has not been as popular in the States as in the UK. But over the past few years there has been quite a jump in popularity here in the States.

Historically Americans drink more coffee than tea since the Revolutionary War. The tax was thought to be unfair so they dumped the tea into the Boston Harbor. I guess the fad has stuck since then.

No, I drink tea. I know a ton of people that drink tea. I just think that the custom is spread along all social classes in Britain unlike in the U.S. where Sprite or diet coke is preferred.
