Oh please...I'm worried less about Mormons in the White House than I am of any more "conservative" Christians who preach peace and make war, who preach "pro-life" and deny health care to poor kids, who take Jesus as their ideal political philosopher and work to destroy those civil rights that they claim are God given inalienable rights. The current crop of "values oriented leaders" seem more concerned in making the land unlivable believing this will bring Jesus back sooner. At least Mormons believe the US Constitution is inspired by God.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints does not, and will not align itself with any political faction or party. Voters within the LDS faith vote as their conscience dictates and it is not done by any influence from the Church.
If Mitt Romney is elected president I feel confident that he will remain steadfast to his faith while leading this nation--just as JFK, a Catholic, did in 1960. In contrast, I believe Romney will remain faithful to his wife throughout his tenure--unlike what other politicians have done.
The First Presidency of the Church has declared their stance that the Church shall not align itself with any political party. I trust that this information, true as it is, will sink in to those conspiratorial heads that want to think otherwise.

i think romney is a joke, 'Mormonism' aside...he's the 'slickest' of all the candidates-he's had basically ever conceivable position on every major issue, depending of the office he's seeking and the demographics of the target electorate-i saw a picture of him standing in front of a group of voters in a new hampshire diner and i kid you not, i thought it was a cardboard cutout, the man even looks two-dimensional...but i think voting against someone based on their religious denomination is absurd and un-american

I couldn't care less about his Mormonism. I would not vote for him, because he's homophobic. Since homophobia is immoral, I don't want another President who promotes immorality like Bush does.

No way does a Mormon ever get elected President.
Not in our lifetimes at least.
