But my best friend is intrested in this guy at my school and he is Mormon. She doesnt believe or follow any religion what so ever, she believes in evolution.
This is why im asking this question.

Yes, I would. All my sisters do that. i mean, there aren't alot of mormons out there (I'm the only mormon at my school). And, Mormons ARE NOT crazy. That's soooo offensive. We believe what we believe and you believe what you believe. It's simple. Just find a great person, mormon or not, and just let things flow.

Why did you title this "calling all Mormons"? Is it your idea that the followers of Latter Day Saints (Mormon) do not believe in a religion?? Or are you speaking about yourself and are interested in dating a Mormon...?

To answer your question: I would seriously question the "date-to-be" about their belief in spiritual matters before I consider dating him. If a person doesn't have at least a "grounding" in a moral code of some sort, then I don't think I would be interested in dating them.

Just for the record, many Mormons also believe in evolution. The Mormon Church has no official position on the matter. Some think God used evolution to create life on earth.

lol I laughed at this. No, Its strategy to average for humans to name us Mormons. Officialy its the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints(LDS) and contributors choose to be callsed Latter-Day Saints. Mormon is only a nickname began in the course of the recuperation due to the fact we use the Book of Mormon in our Standard works. The girl wasn't being impolite. She often was once simply stunned that any person might say that. Anyways the tale was once humorous I wanted the laugh. Edit - We use the Bible and the BoM as scripture each are identical. Are you soliciting for understanding approximately the BoM (The cause why you had been doing paintings at the Church within the first situation) or the way it contributes to the nickname.

It depends. If he was a total jerk by being mean and contradicting and insulting my own beliefs in any way then goodness no! Even if he was a total hottie...
If he's a super nice atheist who is basically civil and respects my belief then certainly. But it is a personal decision this one is. There is no doctirne that says 'DATE ONLY MORMONS' Although they do say date those with high standards like yourself that won't get you into...trouble.
Utah Mormons and others in big LDS communities can easily say no to your question. But sometimes there is no one ELSE to date. So yes, I probably would.

That is a very good question. For me personally, I would not go out actively looking for a non-Mormon to date. However, if over time and certain circumstances led up to meeting and getting to know a non-member, I would consider dating her. It should be noted that while dating the non-member, I would most certainly introduced my faith to her and tell her about the LDS church. If she became interested, that would be great. If she did not express an abiding interest,
I likewise would probably loose interest as well.

I'm not mormon, but my sister is dating a mormon. And his family is very reigious, and follows all of the guidelines very closely. Also, his grandfather isn't mormonm, but his grandmother is, if that gives you an idea. So I guess my point is that it has been done before. It isn't at all unheard of. Maybe this will go against your religion, I'm not really sure, but personally (I'm Catholic) I think that as long as you are happy and still following God, God is happy. Hope this helped!

As it appearsf your question is directed to Mormons I think only 1 in 1,000 (if that many)would date outside their religion. Dating anyone who has religious beliefs "outside the mainstream" isn't a good idea as you open yourself to, perhaps, being influenced to follow beliefs which are classified as belonging to a cult which the Mormons are. Any form of man-made religion is not a belief-system to become involved with. The, only, "true" church is the church you become a part of when you accept Jesus as your Saviour and Lord and have a relationship with Him. The word religion isn't mentioned in the Bible for a, very, good reason.

As an ex-Mormon, it wouldn't matter what religion they believed as long as they didn't try and convert me.
Everyone is permitted to live a life in which they see fit not the general consensus.

nearly all LDS would not date outside their faith. It's a matter of continuity. If you go to www.lds.org and read the Articles of Faith you would understand how strong their faith is (I'm not talking about the Warren Jeffs folks, which is sad for those who have followed him).

The LDS faith is very family-oriented and much of that is centered around the church. A non-LDS person would be welcomed into the family and no doubt tried to be converted.
