Stay away from something sentimental if you are that worried. Do something fun instead like - Boogie Wonderland. My dad was in the hospital when I was married. So my brother walked me down the isle and my first dance was with my stepdad. I had already chosen "Tiny Bubbles" which is what my dad called me as a little girl, so instead my stepdad picked " Rock Around the Clock" and we did the swing instead. My dad died shortly after, but before he passed I went to visit him in the hospice. We did our dance then.
I still cry thinking about it and its been 20 years. But my stepdad was very understanding that I had chosen that song just for my dance with dad and by chosing something fun, we still had a good time and a wonderful wedding.
