I had a dream that i killed my best friend. When i woke up i was like... sobbing.

Did you cut her out of your life in some social way? It might be a guilt trip.

The unconscious part of your brain, where dreams originate, is too primitive to think in abstracts, so it has to use picture language. To interpret dreams you have to translate picture language into common language.
By means of depth analysis of countless patients, the pioneers of psychoanalysis found that killing someone in a dream is the same thing as loving him--or having sexual relations with him. You might object that sexual relations can be easily represented with picture language too; so why would the dream work bother to use killing as a symbol. There are two reasons for that:
First, there are no opposites in primary thought processes.
Secondly, the dream work tends to disguise forbidden wishes.

It could mean you and the friend have/are having a relationship problem maybe you are mad at her because of an underlying cause.
