Some religious people thinks so. Also goes for soft drinks, cigarettes and beer.
The Bible says that what is not of faith is sin. In other words, if you believe it's sinful and you do it anyway, it is sinful to you.
I think moderation is the key and when it comes to coffee, I may need to work on that. But give it up? I went to decaf for 4 days and got the biggest headache ---worse than any hangover I had ever had ( back in those days). My friend told me it was caffeine withdrawals and gave me a cup of coffee and the headache went away.
Not everything that is enjoyable is sinful. But if you believe it is hurting your body, then you should live by your convictions.
Just so people know, the Mormons believe it is a sin to drink coffee and also soft drinks.

If you are a faithful and active Latter-day Saint the drinking of coffee will deter you from receiving a temple recommend. Drinking coffee won't send you to hell, but it is a violation of the Lord's command as depicted in Section 89 of the Doctrine and Covenants.
If you must ask this question, and if you are LDS, I strongly recommend that you seek counsel from your bishopric.

Why in the world would you think that?Coffee has absolutely nothing to do with salvation.John 17:3 clearly states 'And this is Eternal Life, that they may know You,the only True GOD,and Jesus Christ who you have sent'.You must know Christ personally, and coffee does not even touch the 'perk' of the matter.

While it seems unlikely that drinking coffee could compromise one's prospects for salvation, the truth is that ANYTHING that sufficiently distracts from one's relationship with God can eventually do so.
Many or most adults among Jehovah's Witnesses drink coffee.

Well... Coffee is addictive, Rotts your teeth, shrinks your nuts, causes cancer, eats away your stomach lining. burns your lips, stains your mug, ruins your breath...
If you don't lose your salvation you're losing something else. But if you need to drink it, do let me stop you.
