Yes and for the life of me I cannot think of the title. It was sang by Josh Groban, the one that made him famous. It is beautiful and my daughter, with the wonderful voice will be singing it for me - one day - long time away - 30 years down the road, I hope.
Peace and love
After reading some of the answers above I realized that I do not want a funeral either. I am going to be cremated and my ashes are going to be spread over the ocean. My family will be on top of a cliff, and they will let pastle colored balloon up into the sky, whilst my daughter sings that Josh Groban song. What a beautiful way to pass over to my new life.

It's all about death without being the dreary stuff that everyone hates.
And it shows about what kid of music I like.
And "Things are better if I say, so long and goodnight" would make it look like it was good and that I wanted to die.
I would hate to have a normal funeral.

I do not want a funeral. I just want ppl to gather in my memory, at my home or a place that reminds them of me. I hate funerals, they make death even harder to deal with. No funeral home or wake, cremate me & remember me. Although music would be nice at the gathering, I'd like some Dean Martin, Zep, Beatles, Pantera, Dick Dale etc. That line up would make anyone smile that knows me. LOL

I'm not having one.
I'm in the process of pre-paying the funeral parlour to take my body from wherever direct to the crematorium where I'll be burned in the cheapest box.
I'm in the process of putting a coupla grand over the bar at the club I drink at where people can have a few coldies in 'my name' if they want.
Funerals are sentimental crap.
When I'm dead I won't be there - I'll no longer exist.
They can play whatever music they want.

Not having a funeral...my family has been given specific instructions that there is to be absolutely no sadness. if they decided to get together when I'm gone, then it is to be a joy-filled event. I don't want anyone sad that I'm gone, I'd rather have them happy about where I am!!

Brahms Requiem or Mahler's Resurrection Symphony although I won't be alive to choose. No, I'm not going for lame solos, I'm going for no stops. However, I'll be cremated so I guess it's not really up to me. Funerals are for the living.

As an atheist I would prefer not to have a funeral, but who knows if my relatives will follow my wishes.
If I were a theist, I'd probably choose this song.

My cremation is starting with, Speed King - Deep Purple, Sympathy for the Devil - Rolling Stones and to finish, Somethings Burning by I think Kenny Rogers to leave them with a laugh. I have discussed this with my wife and kids who think it's great.
