If you fly into Ireland,particulary Shannon ,you will observe how green and lush the fields and hedges of Ireland are.On some days,depending on the light, you will see fourty Shades of green.No burned landscape here due to the wet climate.

Well, I think it's because it is one of the colours on their flag.
Ireland is also known as the 'emerald isle' and after visiting the place I can see why. The country is so green and lush - it's beautiful.
