You are not prioritizing your expenditures wisely. You want to borrow $2,000 for a VACATION ? That being said, you're not going to find what you are searching for. The fact that you are poor credit is the reason that interest rates will be high, if you can even find a loan. The higher a risk you are, the higher the interest rate which will be charged to cover the increased risk.

Find a way to give your family a far less expensive vacation than you are planning.

Sometimes we have to sacrifice some wants and make sure we cover all of our needs. I am 21 yrs. old and have never went on a real vacation. I make sure my bills are paid though and pay for school out of my pocket. I would love to go to Hawaii or the Bahamas and that it why I saved up for my trip. Do not put yourself in a deeper hole with another loan. You still have other debts you need to manage and after handling them you will be able to give your family the best w/o breaking your pockets.

"mortgagesaver01" is correct. The biggest cost with having bad credit is you will be paying high rates in the future.

If you are able to find a lender, which is doubtful, the interest rate would be high.

Life is full of "wants" and "needs". A vacation is definitely a want and not a need. As general rule of thumb, you pay cash for wants. If unavoidable, interest should only something you pay on needs.

Note: Any "private lenders" that respond to your post are scammers and are to be avoided.

A federal credit union is your best bet. But if you really can't afford it, maybe you really shouldn't go.
