One of my colleagues just the other day said I would not like Holland, (to study for my PhD), " because the rents are all more than $300". I'm sure he thinks he is so witty. Oh, such humor. Ha ha.
What I think would be funny is him lying in a gutter with a bruise on the back of his head. My fist in his foul mouth would be even more funny.
Yet, they blame me when I think it is funny if someone trips or bumps their head.

This guy is looking for your weaknesses. Don't respond to his "jokes" if you want them to stop. If someone said something completely unfunny to me I would say nothing or walk away. That person would not get a reaction out of me and in turn they would not feel that sense of accomplishment you get when you get a reaction out of someone.
I would not laugh at something thats not funny.
p.s. If your violent fantasy is NOT a joke then... -_-. If it is, then I think you have that same humor problem that you hate so much. Sorry if thats not what you wanted to hear, I'm just pointing something out.

I really don't know what was funny about the Holland statement. Is it possible he has no humor at all. I get a chuckel about the same thing, Watching gravity take over and bounce somebody off the ground. It's not polite to laugh at someone that is injured, but if they bump their butt off the ground, that's funny.

hey dude, shake it off. if he says little stuff like that and it ticks you off that bad, HE CONTROLS YOU. you gotta just act like his remarks dont bother you. I always say the best way to deal with a smart *** is to beat him at is own game. good luck man and dont do anything like what you described you mite get put in prison
