Finally, here's how:
1. Find a complete stranger.
2. Reveal to each other intimate details about your lives for half an hour.
3. Stare deeply into each other’s eyes without talking for four minutes.
York psychologist, Professor Arthur Arun, studeied why people fall in love.
He asked his subjects to carry out the above 3 steps and found that many of his couples felt deeply attracted after the 34 minute experiment. Two of his subjects later got married.
Wow!
"1-2-3, oh, that's how elementary it's gonna be
C'mon, let's fall in love, it's easy
Like takin' candy from a baby!"

It could be pretty creepy. Can't help thinking about how pimps and charismatic psychos get emotionally needy people to worship them by using similar methods -- intimacy and undivided attention.

well first for the ppl who do not what love is love is a feeling you have for the oppsite sex that feels like your nervous .. so u get what ppl call the butterflys.. when u in love with someone for this person its the best thing ever that u have something relle speical for your favorite person when u have sex u love grows automaticlay. so if u wanna fall in love have sex becuz when u get it too it the one u profess easily comes into feeling u will understand when u follow it thats love so now u know if u are in love or not ,love is tricky not differcault and not simple my mom has never been in love but it don't mean to say shes a heartless pig shes 1 of the best. but its depends on who u with if its meant to happan or work and if u have time for each other and a happy childhood and u trust each other and u happy and free right now. THAT IS LOVE its all at the end of the day about caring.

I agree whole heartedly that attraction is accomplished that way for the sexes. At least temporarily. The intimacy opens the vulnerability of the person. The deep looks again increase the vulnerablity to becoming attracted. But does this lead to love?
No, it leads to limerace. Or basically the increase of dopamine and endorphins necessary for attraction and possibly love.
So, basicallly, it does lead to a temporary love or a crush...then where it goes from there is up to the persons involved and the amount of time that they are willing to put into exploring things further.

That's really interesting.
I can imagine there's something very raw and intense about looking into someone’s eyes for that length of time and revealing a lot of personal info to a stranger (like so many of us do here) we are fostering an atmosphere of intimacy before we realize it.
Maybe it's possible but the basis for a long-lasting love affair? I doubt it.
How long have his subjects been married?

I'm sure that could create sexual tension between the two people (especially the 4 minutes of staring into eachother's eyes with no talking), but I highly doubt they fell deeply in love over those 34 minutes.
Worth a shot though, I guess.

Lust.. prolly sharing intimate details requires a person to trust and the other to understand and feel affection. Thus, mistooken as love. I mean, love requires commitment. Even if they took a short time to 'fall in love', like a rose.. withers and dies after 2 weeks? Anyways, i wouldnt share intimate details with a stranger. The volunteers were kinda like in a program. No way!

plenty much less complicated to fall in love. to stay in love takes greater effective than dedication in a relationship. It desires consistent nurturing that many times, it turns into so recurring and tiresome.

If only it was that easy for me...some people on earth never get to fall in love and I'm on of them, but that gave me some hope that there is someone out there for me, but I highly doubt it.
