I live in a dorm immediately adjecent to my campus but it is not affiliated with it. It is set up so that each bothroom is shared by 2 rooms (like a jack-and-jill bathroom). My roommate and suitemates (the ones who share our bathroom) drink alcohol in the suite joined by our bathroom (not my suite). I know they drink alcohol over there, but they have never come to drink in our suite. Is it illegal for me to know that they are drinking underage in their suite? They all got drinking tickets while I was gone once, and if I was here, would I have gotten a ticket too?

I need to know!!

I basically want to know that if I know they are drinking, should I tell someone so I don't get in trouble too, or no? I do not in any way want or need a drinking ticket for nothing and I don't want to be at risk of getting one.

my roommate got a ticket for drinking but she wasn't even drinking, she wasnt even in the same room, the people were coming into our room to hide and the police came in here, she was on her bed, hadn't had anything to drink, but she still got a ticket, so how is that different from me being in my bed? I would still think I would get a ticket.

As long as it is not inyour room and you are not taking part, you are OK. Just knowing about it is not illegal. If the police came in and you were in the room when they were giving out tickets, you may or may not be cited, it depends on what the officer sees(if he thinks you were drinking). But, as long as you are on your side of the bathroom, you can't really do anything about what they are doing on their side, so don't worry about getting a ticket, just don't go over there when they are drinking and you will be ok.

Don't know of any Conspiracy laws on underage drinking. Oh and to those who think that knowledge ISN'T illegal, learn the law. If you told me you were going to rob a bank at X time on X date and I didn't call the cops to let them know and the cops found out I could be charged with Conspiracy to rob a bank. All I did was KNOW it was going to happen and do nothing to stop it. That is the fun thing with the Conspiracy law. All it requires is that you KNEW and did nothing to prevent the crime.

they had get an valid police warning on their checklist yet no longer put in a cellular or fined or something. Their dad and mom might probable be contacted and their alcohol confiscated. Police may additionally try to tie in different rates too if there is any smashed bottles or harm to kit etc. through fact they love making examples of stuff like that.

No as long as you are not the one who previded the alchohal... And if you are not encouraging them to drink or anything like that! You might want to say somthing though because they might do somthing when they are drunk that they might regret just ask the manager or whom ever you tell to say an anonomous source told him!

I wouldn't publicize the fact that you know they are drinking underage.
If no one knows what you are thinking, then what can anyone do about it?
