I like pitts. Have known many good ones. 90% of the time it's the owners fault if something happens, not the dogs. This whole thing has just been blown out of porportion by the media. Many times the dog being blamed isn't even a pit bull, but the media in it's infinate wisdom has pegged the offending animal as one because they are too lazy to research before they report.....

the problem here is that petitions like this one dont do much.
if you really want to fight the good fight, join in with the groups fighting BSL.
there are forums all over the net and lots of good ideas about how to fight bsl.
The only thing worse than someone who hates bullys is the person who raises one irresponsibly.
people need to know that by owning a pit or staffy, you and your dogs are ambassadors and representing the breed in its entirety.

Yes, I love APBT's- they are a great breed of dog! I am glad that people are speaking up for them and hope more and more will. The focus for banning breeds has started with them but the lists are growing. Many cities list several breeds to ban. It's a low down dirty shame!

Love Pit Bulls -Jessica and people that fight them or don't know how to train them are the ones that give them a bad reputation! It's ridiculous!

Heidi and hala L , you're ignorant. Ignorance is hate, another reasion stupid people and ignorant people shouldn't breed. Same reasion theres bad press about this and other breeds becase you both make stupid comment and never think before opening you mouths.
