Hi for a while now I have noticed on my legs If I look closely, that they have like a scaley look to them, I do moisturise but nothing works, they dont seem dry to the touch but yesterday I pulled my skin taught and it went, its weird, I have noticed my hands are getting this look too them aswell.
Could it be Im not drinking enough water or something., I do take vitamins,

do you have enough essential fatty acids in your diet? seems you are deficient, also check vitamin c intake as well.

Skip the petro-chemicals and try an oatmeal bath. The petro-lotions and gels are probably causing the problem.
Try a nourishing oatmeal bath for your legs.
Powder a cup or two of oatmeal in a blender - super fine.
Pour into a warm bath and mix around.
Climb in and relax, use a wash cloth on your legs - or even a sea sponge if you have one.
Rinse with clear water, no soaps.
Towel dry and rub a little bit of coconut oil on your legs.
I can hear you say, 'Oh, my!' already. I promise, that scaliness will be all gone.

More than likely you're probably noticing your skin cells. If you spend a lot of time in the sun without sunscreen that does a lot of damage to your skin. When you're tan that's actually dead skin cells that the radiation from the sun killed. So the scaley look is probably dead skin cells that are trapped. Drinking water could help flush them out, but I'm not sure. If you do spend a lot of time in the sun you might want to have a doctor look at your skin for signs of skin cancer.

I know exactly what you mean & think you will find it is dry skin, aggravated by shaving your legs.It could also be that whatever soap, shower gel you are using is having a drying effect.Moisterise as much as possible & try waxing or useing a depilatary cream instead.Looks a bit like snake skin doesn't it.You certainly dont have any skin disease of that I'm certain.

I had somthing simular try putting baby oil with aloe vera in the bath or rubbing it into wet skin after the shower works a treat. Usally happens because of changes in seasons.

I think I have the same problem as you. It could be Keratosis Pilaris where dead skin cells layer up on top your skin and shows, its not serious but you can treat it by going to a dermatologist, they will prescribe creams, medication, etc

your age and what kind of shower gel you use is important besides the amount of water you have during the day.
