That is what the resurrection is all about. One isn't "resurrected" into a ghost form! We will be resurrected bodily, just as Christ was. People were able to touch him after He was resurrected, and He even still had his crucifixion wounds, but His body now had a 4th-dimensional capability that allowed Him to pass through solid objects, as when He suddenly appeared to the disciples who were hiding from the Jews in a locked room. We will be likewise resurrected - Jesus is just the "firstfruits" of those who will be resurrected. We will still be our same selves, but a more "perfect" version of our old bodies, and we will be young.
God is going to create a "new heavens and a new Earth" after Satan and his followers have been burned up, totally incinerated, never to exist again. (They will NOT be tortured forever!) Those who are saved and now living in these perfect, physical bodies will be allowed to live on this "new Earth". God will make it just as glorious and unpolluted as it was in the beginning, and we will be able to commune with animals long since extinct. The animals will all be friendly. You could even pet a T-Rex without getting eaten! It will be awesome.

Well our life on earth is in the material world. When you die your soul returns to God - you become one with God. So what you desired on earth just becomes of no importance. You will find happiness beyond human comprehension your earthly body is just a vehicle.
