I don't mean as an artist or anything like that, just have a job with one. I love hip hop music, it is my anti drug and has many a time kept me from doing stupid things. And it by far the one thing I could work with for the rest of my life. SO how could I go about making this dream a reality?

you need to find every area possible to get your feet wet. First you might want to work in a record store, which gets you to understand people and why they buy the music they buy. Also, internships are key b/c from there you get connections, and from connections you get jobs!

In the music business NETWORKING is huge. It's all about who you know, this is how I got my internship while I was in college. Also I would call around to different record labels, no matter how big or small they may be, see what kind of entry level jobs or internships they have available. Volunteer your time, they love to see someone who is so thirsty to learn the business that they would give their time without pay. Stick around, learn all you can, if they see your efforts, when the time is right if they like you they will keep you. Call your local radio station, see if they have any internships available too, radio is a great way to break into the industry. Just get your face out there, put in hard work, don't think about getting paid for now, it will pay off in the end.
