just cos i have been looking for this song for ages it werent released in the uk and i finally found it but it wont let me upload it on my ipod cos its protected please help me

use a program called id3-tagit or mp3 tag to remove it and yes it is illegal. (both freeware from the right places)

Technically illegal, but the Fair Usage rights allow you to have duplicates....
This is where the industry ( MPAA and RIAA ) are actually breaking the law.
That is their dirty little secret...it is illegal to SHARE music files, not OWN duplicate files....
Their are public domain programs that strip the ILLEGAL protection....And the programs are legal to use for your personal use files.
