Of course...

centexan is mistaken...firearms are shipped to gunsmiths and
safari trips every day. The post office won't let you send handguns [ they must go via FedEx or DHL ].

Cen Texan is not only wrong about sending firearms to other countries and other states, he is even wrong about when and why mail-order gun sales were ended.

Until 1968, after the assassination of Robert Kennedy and Dr. Martin Luther King within weeks of each other, we could buy handguns, rifle, and shotgun, as well as all sorts of nifty military surplus weaponry through catalog sales.

Yes, you can send or carry firearms to other countries for hunting purposes, but you must have the proper permits and permissions. If you are going on safari, or a Canadian hunt, your guide/outfitter should be able to give you info about getting the proper permits and procedures for getting your guns safely to your destination and back home.

The biggest danger will be that of theft by baggage handlers in American airports, and stupidity of TSA Security goons.

YES...They can be taken oversea's for hunting purposes but it depends on what country, and their individual laws/ restrictions. If this is something you wish to do you must plan ahead several months to obtain the proper paperwork and government authorization to transport any firearms legally for hunting purposes........

What? You trying to start a war within a different country? Every since John F. Kennedy was killed by a mail order rifle, the U.S. has made it a law that firearms can not cross state lines or countries via the postal system...sorry.
