The total budget of the whole fed is less than $3 trillion a year. Defense spending is less than $700 billion.

A lot of money goes in to black projects or funding for DARPA projects. Think about it like this year do not want to advertise things researching the latest in stealth technology or some other cutting edge technology which can keep this nation safe.

Ever seen xXx? Na, on a serious note, there are missions and units that are fully deniable by the government, so they can't be seen amongst the projected budget.
Think of overseas CIA missions, and the military SF units.

First of all its not trillions per year. As for the billions that get spent without you or I knowing what they are spent on. Those funds go toward projects like the f117. You, I and most other people, don't have the need to know.
