Im a hetrosexual guy, but i like to look nice.

By look nice i mean i dont want spotty skin, pale skin and bushy eyebrows. So i use a face wash and toner on my skin to stop spots, use a fake tan (it doesnt look orange.. you cant tell its fake), because i have very very pale skin, which doesnt tan in the sun easily, and have to get my eyebrows waxed every 3 weeks or so otherwise i end up with an unobrow and LOADS of other random hairs all over the place.

I can garentee that at least two guys and one girl will call me gay. But im not... i LOVE girls.

My question to you is, if you started dating a guy and found out 4 weeks into the relationship he did this.. what would you think? would it change your opinion of him?

one thing i do want to say is that im not high maintenance. to use a face wash and toner takes 30 seconds.. putting a fake tan on take 15 mins once every week, and the eyebrows 2 mins once every 3 weeks.

im 18 btw

so you're into good hygiene and into keeping your appearance on point nothing wrong with that and yes, some narrow minded individuals will question your sexuality, but so what? ignore them and keep making yourself look good if that's what you like. some girls will appreciate it and anyway, when you are doing your routine you don't need an audience, that's your personal grooming time. i used to date a guy years ago and he didn't want to put lotion or moisturizer on his skin because he thought it was feminine. how stupid. so he would rather go around with ashy looking skin. my boyfriend uses a special face wash and moisturizer and aftershave lotion because i bought it for him as a gift. he loves it. i know guys who get regular manicures and pedicures more than some women i know. nothing wrong with taking care of the skin you're in. you're ok, unless you don't think you are. relax and enjoy yourself leave the haters to hate wish you all the best, good looking...

I think most guys are actually like you, they want a mature girl who can have fun but doesn't need to be intoxicated to do so. Which is why I don't understand why so many girls insist on acting like that. Anyways, it's okay that you don't drink, I'm like that too when I go out. I think people just question it b/c it makes them feel uncomfortable, like "well, how can you have fun if you're not drinking?" b/c they cant. But that is their problem. So just be you and you will find the kind of girl you deserve. And pay no attention to those nasty drunk girls, they don't need anymore reinforcement. p.s. if you keep meeting those drunk girls everywhere, maybe you should change your scene. Obviously going to clubs all the time, you are going to run into a certain type of girl. Try something different and meet different types of girls, because we aren't all like that.

If you look good it wouldn't bother me.
If I thought it didn't improve your looks I'd probably tell you I thought it was a waste of your time but unless it had a negative impact on the relationship I wouldn't care.
You're more high maintainance than me, but that probably says more about me *lol* (I'm a scruffbag).
If it benefits you and makes you feel good then there should be no problem. You should be like girls though and not go on about it. Girls (and blokes) are less likely to be bothered by it if they don't know about it.
If it all looks natural then why tell everyone it's not?
Loads of women wear lots of makeup but they don't feel the need to tell people how much they wear, they want people to think they don't have to make an effort. Just be discreet about it and I doubt it'd even be an issue for most women.

r u kidding a guy that takes care of himself is wonderful. You give a crap about your appearance there are some guys that are just gross and I could never be with them (I live in the south btw, so there are some dirty rednecks) I would never think your gay. And it's very good that you realize that your skin doesn't tan very well so instead of getting burned which can cause cancer and premature aging of the skin, your smart enough to fake tan it which is excellent, I say keep it up and if any girl doesn't like it that's her tough luck.

Sorry, I like a man to be a man and I'd find the fake tan a complete turn off. Toning and grooming of the facial hair I could live with but not the tan. I don't do fake - hate fake tan, bleached hair and plastic surgery, I like people to be real! Th thing is people will know it's fake, what happens when you take your lady to bed? And she sees your white bits, not attractive when they are real let alone fake.

i suppose fair enough eyebrows ok cause you dont want only 1 and cleaning is fantastic and most (normal) guys i know do that
but the fake tan is a bit much, let your natural colour come through otherwise one day you will end up with bleached blonde hair, fake tan and whitened teeth and look like a gay makeup artist

Don't sweat it! It's better to take care of yourself because if you don't, then you seem like your the type of person to be chosen to do something that can only be given to people that are very trusted.
What I mean is, that...
If you care about yourself, then people know you care about everything else. Which makes you trust worthy.
Any way...
A few spots wont hurt, it happens...
At least you care about yourself.
That makes you a great person and people will love you because you love your self.
I have gay friends...
Caring about hygiene is not gay!
Trust me on that.
It's so much better to be clean than it is to smell really bad.
I know from experience! : )

I guess it all depends on the girl you want. A lot of women prefer a bloke as opposed to a pansy, so you will lose out there. If you are looking for the high-maintenance type women who are interested mostly in looks then they will probably love it.

There is nothing wrong with being conscious about your appearance. Many business executives spend thousands of dollars a year on spas, spray on tans, pedicures, manicures etc. because appearance is very important in the business world.
