What the heck? I got this speeding ticket (first time) in King County, WA. driving 77 on a 60. She (the officer) put me down as 65 though. But the thing is, I looked all over on the ticket, and the penalty cost is blank. How am I supposed to pay this?

Nope, there is no court date. There is the Court ORI # and the WAWSP # though.

You have to go to court. There should be an appearance date on the citation.

You need to call the number on the ticket as soon as possible. If you don't pay it or go to court King county will put a warrant out. They don't play around. Good thing the cop put down 65 instead of 77 becuase 15 over is wreckless driving and they would have taken away your license. My ticket was 119.00 for 69 in a 65. That was in Snohomish county and King county has higher fines. If this is your first ticket go to court and have it deferred. It will go off your record if you don't get another one in 6 months to a year. Whatever the judge decides. Remember your insurance will go up if it is on your record whether you paid it or not.

it is not mandatory to post the fine cost. Most of the fines are regulated by the court that has jurisdiction where the ticket was written out of. You should contact the court on Monday and ask them to advise what you are to pay. She gave you a break by citing you for 65 in a 60, you should be happy!

You might want to see whether NY State has any kind of court approved driving classes that you could attend. Sometimes, if you agree to taking a weekend course or however long the class takes, the court will reduce the number of points on your license. As for the fine, you will want to find out whether the work zone you drove through was actually an active work zone. Normally, fines are doubled through work zones. Also, since this is your first time in trouble with the law, the judge may reduce your fine. Good luck

The officer gave you a considerable break. But you should take the ticket to court and clear it. Most probably your ticket amounts to a warning. But you may still see your auto insurance increase a bit.

In CA the amount of the fine is never on the ticket. You get a letter in the mail a few weeks later and that tells you how much it is. Just wait, I bet you will be getting a surprise in the mail.

Depending on location, the fine does not have to be included on the citation. Apparently there may be options. Contact the court, and you will be told exactly what procedure to follow.

There should be a telephone number on the ticket. Call the courthouse and they should be able to tell you what the fine is.

Dont, you get off free. They made a mistake, therefore you dont pay, happened to my cousin once.
