I have an interview at a clothing store in a few days and everyone says to be prepared to answer the "what is your weakness?" question. Would saying that I am a little shy until I get to know people work for this question? Or will they see that as being not friendly etc

I'd keep it on the lighter side, since it's ridiculous that someone would expect you to answer against yourself or believe the answer. When I've been asked that I think it's a newbie interviewer that doesn't know what else to ask.
Tell them you have a terrible time remembering to set the trash out to be picked up, or something equally as noncommittal. Do it in a confident, light-hearted way that doesn't sound defensive or evasive and keeps the interview going as cordial as possible.

tell them "My alacrity could be incorrect via a supervisor for a loss of wisdom of the concern handy or overconfidence on my area. i'm merely clearly enthusiastic and useful and that i haven't yet come throughout the time of a concern that develop into impossible to sparkling up via different group participants. this is why i'm very delicate in any artwork ecosystem for which i'm qualified." good useful interviewers do no longer ask "what's your weak point?" anymore. this is from the ninety's and it tells the interviewer no longer something. anybody has a weak point of a few form which comprise the main powerful corporation human beings interior the international. in case you return throughout the time of an interviewer who asks this question then you definately've an newbie on your palms. those are the flaws the interviewer must be certain from you or approximately you: a million. are you able to unquestionably DO the job? this implies all factors of the job. 2. are you able to get on with human beings [group participant and so on]? 3. Are you hassle-free, hassle-free, and good [will you unquestionably take place for artwork on a daily basis, be relied on with corporation sources and so on]? 4. are you able to take instructions from a good / supervisor? each and every thing else is beside the point. supply examples without being asked and be arranged to furnish those examples (this is okay to have some notes). a experienced candidate will lead the interview interior the direction they choose it to bypass. this is an comfortable artwork and a experienced interviewer would be conscious this.

that usually works well, as well as possibly not learning names well. a little shy getting to know people is ok, as long as you are still friendly and outgoing towards customers.

the perfectionist as a weakness has been used way too many times for it to be taken seriously. it will be taken as an excuse and something to say when you cant think of anything else.

My greatest weakness is that I am Human. I make up for it by trying to Treat Other People the Same way that I would Like to be treated. To me " Customer Service" is Not a Department, it IS an Attitude.

Your answer should be positive. Say something like "I get nervous if I have to make an important presentation to a large group. But, I’m able to overcome this by intensive preparation, research, and knowing my audience." or "I'm a perfectionist and sometimes I get impatient when others aren't working to their potential."

No, that is the last thing you want to say. You have to remember their interest and they want someone outgoing to help sell clothes. You are supposed to say something that could actually be a strength to the employee like "I am too much of a perfectionist and my friends say that I work too hard" or something to that nature. Nothing is for real, it is just how you play the game.

I would say something like "My weakness is that I am a pefectionist. I keep working until I get it right." They can't criticize that.
