Do you have to take all this before the end of the year, or just within a year since you started your job? Help!

Varies due to your job. Some jobs annual leave is between Jan - Dec, Apr - Mar (tax year),etc so you need to find that out with your boss. But for example you getting 4 weeks annual leave you likely be getting a week for every 3 months. So works out roughly like 1 day annual leave for every 2 and half weeks.

You just started a job and you get 4 paid weeks !
You must live outside the USA , I don't know of any American companies that good .

The paid holidays are separate from the vacation time and when you take vacation varies by company .
Usually the senior people get first pick ,
But since you live outside the US , IDK !
