God (in any definition) does not exist. Therefore there is no answer back from your God, etc etc.
What people think of as being 'God' is their own spirit - and so those who say they do talk to God every day and get answers back, are communicating with their own spirit.
It is easy for this misunderstanding to take place, because of the power of the human imagination. That which religion uses, so that it's myths can be brainwashed into people, to be 'real'. Sadly this is what religion has been doing for centuries - and is the sad truth about religion.

The original version of what is now known as 'The Lord's Prayer' - was about praying to your own spirit, and not about praying to God.
The real story about 'God' is an eye opener today --- something most people would say, lies in the realm of science fiction and fantasy ... and that is how far removed we are, from the 'truth'.

I've been asking God to answer me for years and I haven't heard any response yet. I have asked him to verify that the Bible is actually HIS word or is it really the words of Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, etc. So far, God hasn't said anything so I don't believe what anyone says regarding religion. Why would I believe in the Bible or religion just because some guy in a church says to do it? I will only take direction from God, and so far, HE has not given me any indication what HE would like me to believe. Everyone has an opinion, but I'm taking my lead from God when he chooses to answer me.

Yes. But, because God is a spirit, He has no vocal chords. His answers either come as the fulfillment of the things I asked for or as insights. The biblical gods that talked to people may be in fact aliens. I can't imagine God having a mouth or teeth as if He needs to eat.

Yes and Yes in a way.

Why do some “believers” often not get answers to their prayers?

Belief alone is not sufficient to please God and have him answer our prayers. Even a credulous person may claim that he believes. For belief to have substance, it must be based on accurate knowledge, which can be gained only by a study of the Bible. Additionally, belief and faith must be proved by the works they produce. “As the body without spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.”—James 2:26.

A true believer would need to take God into account daily, not resorting to prayer only when faced with an emergency. He would also do acts of faith, right works that include speaking to others about his belief and faith in God.

Why, yes, Mr. Smarty Pants, I do talk to God. It's called prayer/meditation.
He does answer me. It is inaudible. He doesn't speak orally.
Seriously, it's cool.
I hear Him in my heart. He speaks to me through others.
Yesterday he spoke to me through someone on this section.
Someone asked a question about what you would say to a loved one who had died if you had the chance. I'd been talking to God about a chance to say something to my Mother.
I got it.

Yes, I talk to God every day. He does answer back. He always answers, but sometimes the answer you get isn't the answer you want.

Seriously?
It would be like talking to my sock. That's how ridiculous the concept is to me.
And then people get mad because I won't talk to my sock and wait for a reply...
