So I started liking this guy named Max. He's 18 and I'm 15. We met on the local college campus. I'm in a WATC program and we bumped into each other in the coffee shop. Since then -- we have been good friends. We talk to each other a lot, we hang out.. go see movies. I like him a lot and he likes me. BUT his friends are real big on enforcing the "2 year rule" although, his mother thinks it is alright because 3 years isn't that big of a difference. One of his good friend, Paul, is REALLY big on enforcing his 2 year rule.
Soon, I started talking to Paul. He opened up to me and I did the same -- he has a girlfriend but he is taking a "break" from her.
We hung out and ended up kissing.
I found out he was really big on enforcing the 2 year rule, as well, because he liked me.
Paul is a cool guy.. he's sweet and funny.. but I still like Max.
Although, he has his heart set on me not ever being with Max.
Any advice? Words of wisdom? Who should I choose?

If Paul tells max about this kissing thing you two(max-you)are off,at least that's what i`d do if the girl i hang out with likes to hang out with my best friend...so decide if you like max better and tell him right away(unless he doesn't know already you kissed Paul)and explain that you were confused and tell him that Paul likes you too.or just continue with Paul and forget about max...it`s all up to you.But don` forget that Paul will get right back to his old girlfriend if she asks him to...(Break-thing usually means i only want to fool around for a wile)

That's a tough one. Go out with Paul because, technically, you and Max never got together. Paul already knows you like Max so if you and Paul don't work out, then you can get with Max and Paul will already expect it. Max will be happy because he finally got you. Plus, by that point, you'll be that much closer tot he "2 year rule".

WOW
That's a lot to handle.. I know this answer sucks but I think you'll just have to be honest with Paul, leading him on or anything will just hurt him more, and maybe give it a week or two break from Max then go back.. start fresh if you can.

UGH!!! I just went thru this with my daughter who is 15 ironically. My daughter isn't a normal 15 yr old giggling little kid. She is much more mature. So, I had to take a broader look at things with her. She was honest with me up front about him. Have you been honest with your parents about this guy and his age? It is important to follow rules set by your parents or guardians. I met the guy and I thot he was alright and I allowed her to see him. Notice I say "allowed". She wasn't sneaking around behind my back and lying to me. Don't do that to your parents either. If he is a nice well rounded young man and your a good girl who doesn't do things to be part of the "in crowd" and your a leader, then I don't see why it would be an issue. However, he does at this moment have a gf and he did kiss you while having one and before he broke up with her. I would wonder if he met someone he liked while seeing you would he kiss them too without giving you the respect of knowing you two were thru. Be good to yourself. Follow your parents rules. Be smart and safe. And always........ respect yourself. I wouldn't worry too much about his friends.... guys tend to do what they want to do. But depending on where you live , he may get into trouble legally if he dated you or if you two got physical. You don't want to see him on a registered sex offenders list do you? Like I said be smart and talk this out with your family. Good Luck hun

How crushed would Paul be if you choose Max, and what if Max isn't all you thought he'd be and you loose Paul?

Your at the experimental age. . . so experiment. Three years is not a big separation. My aunt and uncle, and my grands were ten years apart. The AVERAGE separation is two years. Meaning that there are several that are more than that.
