God is imaginary and my gripe is towards those who insist on teaching the meandering ramblings of primitive Hebrew sheep herders, in science class in 2007.

Satan is very powerful. He was God's right hand man before the beginning of time. Lucifer, as was his name at the time, had conflicting views about how man should be created. Lucifer started a rebellion. God sent St. Michael to throw Lucifer out of heaven and he was successful, Lucifer was thrown into hell. Satan is able to get as far as earth. He is the creator of all that is evil in this world. Those who can overcome the powers of Satan truly love God. Freewill allows us to choose between Satan and God. If there was no temptation or anything else of that sort, we could not prove to God how much we love him. It would be an empty love. Therefore your analogy of a dog with rabies biting your neighbors irrelevant. If a dog with rabies bites you, you can't do anything about it. If Satan tempts you, you have the God-Given ability do the right thing even if it is hard.

I'm actually considering doing so. A good friend of mine, who has no previous spirituality experience, just became a Catholic or Christian, I don't know, and now Eric Clapton is a Catholic as well! I am pretty inspired and motivated to go in some spiritual aspect. I think I'll take up the religious practice of Taoism.

If a deity was there and able to give us the ability to understand rightly, then I could see the point here. But that would necessarily mean there would be no disagreement between believers (people who have asked god to show them). This is not the case. Failed prediction, failed hypothesis; there is no deity.

I am not an atheist because of religious people. I am an atheist because I do not believe in the supernatural. Period. End of story. I like religious people. I have friends all over the religious spectrum. I just do not believe in God.

My gripe is with god-botherers who want to introduce religion into school science programs. It is with religious nutters who want to convert me to their religion all the time. It is with those who think theirs is the only religion and the only god and want me to accept their illogicalities.
You get on with your life and keep your religion to yourself and I'll happily get on with mine and ignore you.

It is getting stupid when Christians think we are going to convert just because you think we should.
