If you don't believe he exists, prove he doesn't exist.

I don't need to prove he exists.
I have faith.
What do people have that don't believe?

I believe in god. It's not about proof, it's about faith.

You can't prove a negative.
Let me elaborate. Proof requires evidence, and if something never happened, then there is no evidence. Ergo, you can't prove that something didn't happen, and you can't prove that something doesn't exist. There is this thing called the "burden of proof." When two people disagree over whether or not something happened (or whether or not something exists), the logical position is that it did not happen. It is up to the other person to prove that the event happened. It is up to theists to prove that God exists, or, at least, to demonstrate that a belief in God is rational.

That brings up another point. Some people think that the only rational beliefs are those which can be proved scientifically. That is called "positivism," and it is inherently irrational. You cannot scientifically prove that Abraham Lincoln existed - we accept it as fact because we have good arguments, not because it can be demonstrated scientifically.

Let's start by remembering that a capital g always refers to the deity of Abraham. The use of that spelling started with Bishop Ulfilas' Gothic translation of the Bible.

Now, you ask us to disprove God.

1) God is defined as all-loving and all powerful creator of the universe (as per surveys given around the world to Abrahamic believers)
2) By definition, an all-loving creator would want to enter into as deep a relationship as possible with each of "his" creatures.
3) Being all powerful also means any attempt to approach such a being will work (by 2 "he" has the desire, and by 3 "he" has the ability to allow any attempt to work)
4) Reasoning about a deity is an attempt to "know" that deity, and attempt to enter into a relationship
5) Therefore, by 2&3, reasoned disbelief should not exist
6) Reasoned disbelief does exist (scientific atheism, etc.)
7) Therefore, we are left with four possibilities:
1) There is a deity that is not all-loving
2) There is a deity that is not all powerful
3) Both 1&2
4) There is no deity at all

All four of these possible conclusions make the Abrahamic deity an impossibility, because of the definition in 1 . QED

edit: Sorry, faith is not enough, since it was faith that flew planes into buildings.

I do not know if I believe or not, but what I know is that the god I would believe in would not allow that little babies die because they do not have enough to eat when they are not guilty of anything when at the same time there are a lot of really bad people in the world living a great life. if someone tell me that everything will be solved in the "next live" (the one that we are supposed to live after we are death) then I need a proof of the existence of this live. That is why I do not believe in the mayority all the Gods people usually believe, my God would not allow this to happen.

See proving that he exists or doesn't exist is hard because it's circle of logic. Regardless in what you believe, the word God represents a lot of things. The Greeks and Romans believed in Gods, we believe in a God if you're Jewish, Catholic, Christian, ect. Now science has proven that we're decendents of apes through evolution. It isn't whether or not a person may believe or not believe, but whether or not there will be proof to truly make anyone right. I'm Apocraphy, I believe that's how it's spelt. I do not believe but do not say there is no such thing in the belief that maybe one day there will be proof.

Yes. This is an interesting question as it is almost always posed the other way, i.e., "prove that God exists." Romans 1:18-20. I am interested to see if those who do not believe in God can satisfactorily prove that he does not exist.

God exists as an idea and if the idea is alive in the mind it exists in some form or dimension of thought. You can't destroy a created idea can you? You can't prove something doesn't exist if you have the idea it does exist? Your statement is a contradiction, if something didn't exist your awareness of it wouldn't exist either. God exist but I doubt the actions or roles that were appointed to God or that God supposively takes responsibility for.

I believe in God.
And I also believe that both Believers
and non believers are on the same page
neither can prove anything and support it
with anytype of substancial evidence.
Regardless how good of a scientist or how
faithful to god you are.
So why do we constantly ask one another to
prove something that we don't want to be proven?
:)

Yes, there is a way to prove it, if we exist, then we must have came from somewhere, but where? There must be something. There is also creation, Scientists think that we were mutated by accident, but what are the chances of that?

There you go -GOD- believe it

No, I don't. But I decline the invitation to prove it, except to point out that the burden of proof is on those who want to prove a positive, not a negative. I can, however, tell you where you can find some pretty convincing arguments.

I haven't read "The God Delusion" yet, by whatsisname Dawkins, but I understand it's pretty good. Or try the links below.

I cant answer this. *** Believe *** is wrong word. Any kind of Belief or dis-belief is wrong. you need to find the truth yourselves rather than believe certain words and have faith without even trying the path of search.

So for me, I am on Journey to realize my own truth ... Thou only truth I experienced till now is Such vast existence is only god possible, it is not a person or a name. But still the search continues ...
