Wouldnt it be better to take them straight to your local waste recycle centre?
Why wait 2 years?

We leave the sofa so fat b******* like you have somewhere to sit when they are crawling past, and a couple of pies in the fridge in case you can't wait till you get home.

The answer to this question is really quite simple and in two parts:
1. The sort of people who inhabit council estates (we should call it "social housing" now say the PC brigade) are those who, on the whole, are incapable of supporting themselves by wasting their time at WORK and, as a result, live on the state (meaning those of us who do work and pay tax). Sometimes this incapability is genuine but more often than not it is called "swinging the lead." If they can't be bothered to work why should we expect them to be bothered to move their rubbish - after all, that's a form of work.
2. The second reason is that the property they are fouling up with these sofas and fridges, etc. are not THEIR gardens. They belong to the council tax payers who pay (eventually) to have the filth removed. And who are the council tax payers??
Correct - us again, because most of them pay no council tax. Enough said!!

Well personally, the estate I live on is fantastic, you can only get a house here if someone dies!! Trust me it's true. Obviously I'm not going to say exactly where it is but I can say it's in Weardale. So I have to say mine is immaculate, actually there is a village meeting if you find a crisp bag in your garden!!! But on the other hand I have seen other estates & they are frankly appauling the rubbish is not just in the gardens it's all over the streets. I also have to say that most councils are bloody lazy, they take forever to respond to enquiries about rubbish removal but that doesn't excuse the stupid people who insist on throwing out this stuff when they know they can't get rid of it! The only furniture in my garden are benches & patio chairs so I can enjoy my beautiful view of the pennines.
P.S My home is actually privately owned by ME
Also I think I'd better add for the more ignorant folk on this site that I have never lived on any kind of benefit & have ALWAYS paid my council tax

I live on a council estate,if i have any large items of rubbish to clear i call the council to take it away BUT they only do one free collection a year any other collections are done at the full going rate at the time. I do not have the means to clear or pay for someone to do it for me,it is true some people do receive government benefits but it is only because they do not get a fair days pay for a fair days work they try to get better paid jobs but they all seem to be taken up by people who twist the truth to get the jobs in the first place.
I have tried to clear my rubbish by burning it -complaints about the smoke, put a skip or one of those bags where you fill it and then pay for it to be emptied(hippo bags?)--complaints about it looking untidy and lowering the tone of the neighbourhood, leaving it where it is --complaints about it looking untidy, and so it goes on.Some of the houses on my estate are privately owned two houses either side of where i live are prime examples, one has a very large willow tree in the garden robbing me of any light can'nt cut it down it has got a tpo(tree preservation order) on it,the other has a garden so overgrown that it would need a jcb to clear it,oh no sir they are private owners you must ask them direct they tell you to ***k off when you ask them about it and then people have the nerve to criticise council tenants about the condition of their eastate/gardens/open spaces!

I don't think this happens in all council estates , but I have seen it in various places I have lived around the UK
It is strange to me as all it usually takes is a quick phone call to the refuse department of your local council and they will make a special collection free of charge

If they were taken away where would all the squirrels and birds put their leftovers ? And the sofas are a great place for joggers to take a break.

The plan is that if you wait long enough then someone like your good self will come along and steal it...
And from the looks of your photo you'd be able to carry them both on your own.

So you can sit down and enjoy a cold can of Special Brew, whilst admiring your broken down Cortina (with no wheels or engine).
