I have no neighbors. My nearest neighbor is about 1 mile away.I dont have insect problems. They are annoying and yes worse than peigons, even if i do shoot them there will still be 1000s of them. What do you perfer a 22. pelet rifle or a .177?

To my knowlege there is no set hunting season for English Starlings in the state of Illinois...We have issues here in Maryland with them too.The fly in large groups and are worse than pigeons when it comes to bird poop........What you do on your own property is your business unless you are breaking a local law or ordinance. You might want to check with your local Police or Sheriffs Office, just to be sure.....(Subsonic 22's work great)

Either a 177 0r 22 Pellet gun will do the trick.........

Check your hunting regulations I'm pretty sure their considered an unprotected species so blast away.My brother and I bait them with hot buttered popcorn in the driveway but to easy to kill so we made it harder by shooting the popcorn out of their beak(mouth) it's a total blast!!!!! P.S.We are not bleeding hearts boo f$%king hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I assume you can shoot all you please, as long as you have a small game licence. But, check with you state DNR. It also depends on where you are. It's probably not legal IF you have close neighbors.

Please do not hunt & shoot Starlings because they eat a lot of insects etc... They are more beneficial than harmful.* Find something else to hunt.*
