The "old" way of thinking was a generic 8 glasses a day. However, research is showing that's not enough. The "new" rule of thumb is to take your body weight in pounds, divide it in half, and that number is the number of ounces of water a day you should drink.
Example: a 150lb person should drink 75 oz of water a day.

Heh, suggested amount.
I should point out that the "suggested" amount to drink a day came out AFTER bottled water. Before bottled water, people went by the "If your thirsty, drink something, otherwise you're fine" idea.
Turns out, that was the correct way -- drink if you're thirsty, don't force yourself to drink more, you're just giving your kidneys more work to do for no reason.

8 glasses or roughly two litres in metric. Also mineral water has no more real benefit than tap water so dont feel you have to spend loads to get the benefit of drinking water. tap water is just as good.

1.5 litres of fluid per day, but there is no harm in drinking more if you are thirsty.
If you have unquenchable thirst eg drink half a pint of water and immediately need to drink more then you should obtain medical advice...urgently as unquenchable thirst is a symptom of diabetes

You're suppose to drink 8 glasses a day which would be 8 oz. each. Trust me its not easy to do but it helps keep your clear wayyyyyy better then any cosmetic item. And u feel much better too.
