I don't think he should leave, he needs to be the owner of DEI, bad mistake to let Theresa run things.

I was upset too...But now, DEI seems to be in a transition. They are trying things with personell and equipment that are going to take time to work out. Jr. is headed to a team where all the stuff is working and has for years.
I will always follow DEI, but Jr. needs to be where he can show his talent not the chance finish.

How can the question even be debatable..the company belongs to Theresa..is her choice..You or I have as much right to the company as Jr...I admire her for the so called "fan favorite" trying to bully her..screw em'..she is a strong lady...if Sr. would have wanted the "fan favorite" to have it, he would have stipulated the fact..quit crying and live with it...he could probably see into the future about Jr's driving ability....Truex is a better driver...

I am not a Jr. fan but he had to leave DEI. Operations at DEI was left to his step-mother so he really had nothing to say about day to day operations. He needs a racing life of his own. I'm not so sure that Hendrick was the answer but.........
Clean slate, new number ...... new beginning...... same old racer? I guess we'll see next year!

Not me. Theresa doesnt want to put the money into decent equipment to keep ANY of her guys racing well, and I dont think Jr will be the only driver leaving her.

This is a really hard question... He is stupid for leaving because that is his family and his dad's company. But then again he needed to make his own image i don't think he wants to be Junior, Earnhardt's son he wants to be Junior and the only way he could really do that is leave. Plus he should have one several times but he has had engines blow and what not so he had to leave for better cars.

You know how it goes - If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. Jr wants to be a title contender and that just wasn;t happening at DEI for him, so why not do what you need to do in order to get that trophy? Good move for him.

It was the best move of his career, in light of the circumstances. I bet he won't have 7 DNF's next year. We'll be counting wins instead.

Go Jr.>>>>
