They say that if you die in a dream, you will die in your sleep.
I had a dream where a robber came into my house and shot me, and my soul left my body, I looked down on my dead body with bullet wound and blood running out, then I looked up towards heaven and began to ascend, but then i woke up.
How does that work? My friends don't believe me that I had this dream. I had it three times, on three consecutive nights.

I looked down the barrel of the gun and screamed, and the last thing I saw before leaving my body was the smoke from the gun.
So, definitely first person.
This was back when I was a teenager still, so don't remember if anything came to an end in my life at that time...

I can still hear and feel the gunshot in my mind, after all these years. It was... about nine years ago.
I have just always wondered about it...

A gun for a male would/might represent sex. Dying simply means you made a transition. Was this dream during the time you started having regular sex? In certain circles, climaxing is referred to as "the little death". It is definitely a hypothesis worth considering. And no, dying in your dreams does not mean you will die in actuality, as I said above, it represents transitions from one aspect of your life to another.

I too have died many times in my dreams, and in many different ways, but I'm still alive to tell the tale.
Our dreams are usually made up of our thoughts and feelings about what we have experienced both that day and sometimes right into our past. It could be that something in your life feels final, no going back, or maybe a part of your life is final, such as finishing another school year, or a relationship, etc. The drama of it could have been influenced by something you watched on TV, or a computer game that you've played?
Try thinking about what is on your mind, and once you've worked it out, chances are you'll not have this dream again, at least not until the next stressful thing in your life!

I have not seen or listend that a particular person died last night while dreaming and seeing sweet dreams.Nobody can't kill you, untill and unless,if have a long life in this would. But,also there is no gurantee of life in the luck of a man or woman, that how man days he or she will live? Death and Time have not a fix time. They come suddenly and go suddenly. But,live happily and do some good works, untill you are in this world.Be, an optimistic and think positive.Remainig are useless and wasting of value and time.

Death in dreams symbolizes a part of you or something in your life that has come to and end. In this case it would mean it came to an end abruptly and by force. Or you just ate too many beans before bed.

Don't worry about the dream in and of itself. Worry about what is manifesting in your mind. Obviously our dreams are a result of where we are at in our subconscious thinking. If anything from a dream happens in reality, it's ONLY because your mind and actions made it happen. You do not have to act out any self-prophesy, where conscious or subconscious.

Dying in dreams has absolutely nothing to do with dying in your sleep, most of the time it has to do with a fear of living or some guilt you are repressing. and if you see blood, if it red then it do not worry because everyone knows death in dreams is associated with blacks and grays in contrast

I believe your difficulty deciphering this dream - as you suggest - is related to your fear of discovering its meaning. Fortunately, however, this dream appears only to be encouraging you to grow—to take those next tentative steps toward full adulthood.

well i have heard that you cannot die in your dreams because you always wake up before you die,
so maybe it wasnt actually you,
the person could have looked like you,
but in a way they could have been a little different.
not sure though...

When you died, was it from the first or third person perspective? I've been told by dozens of people that they've died in their dreams in the third person, but have never met or heard of anybody who died in the first person perspective.
