'87 and '88 were carbureted, '89 up were fuel injected.

I have a '92 with a 3.9 V- 6 and it has throttle body injection, also known as TBI. I hesitate to disagree with a retired Chrysler tech, but I think the '88 through '90 four cylinder and V-6 were carbeurated.

No. Dakotas never carburated.

Not sure about dakotas,but most cars and trucks went to EFI. in 1986

nope all early 90,s and later ones are fuel injected,they have throttle body injection on them,they look like a carburetor though,good luck.
