Open a Word document
click the Drawing button on the Standard Toolbar
you will get the Drawing toolbar on the bottom of the screen
click the oval button on the Drawing toolbar
drag an oval, or Shift-drag a circle
click the "fill color" button and select a color
click the "line color" button and select a color
right-click the circle, click "format autoshape"
click the "wrapping" button, select "none"

now create another circle
color as you wish
you have two circles

right-click one circle for a submenu
click "order"
click "send to the back"

right-click the other
click "order"
click "bring to front"

drag one over the other
if you don't want the top circle to hide that in the back,
remove the fill:
click the circle to select it
click the fill button
select none

make a practice Word document and have some fun with the Drawing toolbar.

Yes! You can!!!

But im not sure if it applies to word 2000 . . .

For word 2002

Go to insert>diagram

Then click venn diagram.

and delete 1 circle to give you 2.

Or you con just do it with auto shapes. Draw 2 circles, double click on one, and change the transparency to <50%. Make sure the fill colour isn't light. Then repeat and when you overlap, they will mix

Word 2000 is a bit lacking in this department.

You could try Autoshapes.

Insert > Picture > Autoshapes

Hope it does what you're expecting.

There is no feature built-into the system. What you can do is bring up two circles, adjust them to the appropiate size, and then just go from there. Hope i helped you!
