Some people maybe. Interesting it is the hypocrisy of it all. What Merry Christmas represents for most in this country is the commercial holiday. All the toys that kids get marketed to, that parents buy. A vacation from work or school. The whole Santa Clause thing. Spending time with family, presents, a big dinner, etc. It is really suppose to be a religious Holiday that has gotten taken to the extreme by corporations and free enterprise. So yes, telling someone who is Jewish, Buddhist, Hindu, Atheist, etc in a traditional sense "Merry Christmas". I can see where that could be offensive.

No, not in the least. I don't personally celebrate Christmas, because I am not Christian. As a Pagan, I celebrate the Winter Solstice. I don't say, "Merry Christmas," only because I don't want to assume that everyone I meet is Christian. I prefer to say, "Happy Holidays," but it isn't an anti-Christian gesture on my part, merely a polite one. If someone wishes me a Merry Christmas, I just take it as a friendly gesture, and say it right back.

No. December 25 is Christmas regardless of my personal beliefs about Christ. I think it very nice that people wish me a merry December 25. People who take it as an affront to their own religion are reading WAY too much into it.

No, I celebrate Yule, but I still say Merry Christmas to people in the street, just because they are used to those words. Among family and friends I usually write or say "Have a cool yule!"

Not really. I mean are people intentionally trying to "persecute" me by saying "merry christmas", somehow knowing that I'm pagan and celebrate the original Yule? No.

But the Term "Mary the Tiller" does!
I used to Run one of those Tillers for Years as a Young'en.
I was Small and it wore me out Holding that Tiller back while it tilled the Garden.
Years Later, I found out You could Take Off the Wheels!!!
Oh Brother!
It is So Easy When you Know "The Way".

Not a bit. It's just the same as if somebody said...."Have a nice day". We need more kindness and consideration in the world today and if it takes the Christmas season to bring it out in some people....so be it.
One thing that does bother me....and you see it in the USA, is when you say "thank you" to a clerk and she responds "Uh Huh". But I guess it's just a common thing...the same as we would reply, "you're welcome".

No it doesn't. I know the origin of christmas. Do you????
Do you know that it was started by the Catholics and that Jesus Christ WAS NOT born on December 25???? Do you also know that the wisemen we not at the manger site? Do you know that the balls on a christmas tree are firtility symbols?
I am a Christian. If you don't believe me check out the origin of christmas and read your Bible.
I do exchange presents with my family and we have a good time but it is NOT a religious holiday.
Go ahead give me thumbs down, which will prove to me that some people do not want to know the truth. Even though thee Bible says that the truth will make you free.
