It takes exactly the same amount of time as any other food you swallow. The only difference with chewing gum is it comes out looking the same way it went in as the body is unable to digest it.

There used to be an old wives tale that said it took 7 years!
Another says it gets wrapped around your intestines or heart!
Another that it can cause an obstruction (you'd have a lump that was chewed from several packets to do that and you'd never be able to swallow it!)
These are all meant to discourage you from swallowing it because it is indigestible!
It takes the same amount of time as any other food waste which is approximately 24 hours!
If you do notice it in passing, it will look the same as it did before you swallowed it!

My brother told me that if you swallowed chewing gum it would wrap itself around your heart and start to strangle it!!! And I believed him too!

I would say it takes the normal amount of time, it probably doesn't break down as well as other foods so maybe a day or two?

Its ok if you swallow some, just not if you swallow loads. I think it takes about 30 days for it to pass through your body but i am not sure though. There is all this **** going about saying it sticks to your heart and lungs. it DOESN'T just a silly rumor. Hope this helps.

It will take just as long as anything else you swallow to come out of you..

same as usaul food I suppose, about 24 to 36 hours.

Just don't swallow a lot of it or it will knot up your insides.

Thats what my gran told me anyway.

Silly billy.
It can get stuck in your gullet or intestines and cause an obstruction.
If it has not passed through in a couple of days I would see a GP.

A blonde keeps having the same weird dream, so she goes to her doctor.
Doctor: "What is your dream about?"
Blonde: "I am being chased by a vampire..."
Doctor: "So, where are you in this dream?"
Blonde: "I am running in a hallway."
Doctor: "Then what happens?"
Blonde: "Well, that's the weird thing. In every single dream, the same thing happens. I always come to a door, but I can't open it. I keep pushing the door and pushing the door, but it won't budge!"
Doctor: "Does the door have any letters on it?"
Blonde: "Yes."
Doctor: "And what do these letter spell?"
Blonde: "P.. U... L... L..."
