You only have to look at Mohammed Ali, and don't swallow that Parkinsons theory, it is brain damage from frequent blows to the head.

it does damage your brain. but this life is all these people know - and that's the life they've chosen. it's a hard call. Riddick Bowe is brain damaged from fighting and he still wants to fight and why shouldn't he fight - that's the only life he knows. That's all he can do. it's really a sad thing. Evander Holyfield says he's doing well and he's fighting well but just listen to him for a few minutes you can see clearly that he's slurring his words together andhe's not doing as well as he says he is. but boxing is his whole life. he'll box until he dies. that's what he will do. he probably won't quit.

Who are "they"? Who ever told you that was a liar, joking, stupid, or punch drunk themselves. I'd love to know your source. I suppose if boxing does not shake the brain and damage it, I'll start shaking my baby when he cries. And I'll take out a ball bat next time someone makes me mad. Damn, this is great, I don't need a seat belt anymore either. And when my kid is older, I will not need to buy him a helmet for his bike. I always hated my motorcycle helmet, I don't need it anymore. I was dumb for all of these years, I thought head trauma caused brain damage... I guess not. My life has changed today. How do you think it's gonna work out? lol.

gettin your head punched in ocaisanaly does damage your brain but it sometimes dependds on the boxer if your born to be a boxer i mean trully born to be a boxer then you wont get hit that much therefore wont get brain damage unless you want to compete with professsionals then its a different sstory it depends on the boxer mate if hes good enought then not much brain damage mabey aa lil side effects like short memory cant remember what you ate yesterday...besides its better to box then take drugs etc especialy if ja get paid for it!lol

pretty much most heavy contact sports are dangerous. i would say football is much more dangerous than boxing. there are quite a few football players that have got paralyzed, but i dont know any boxers who have.

just because a sport is dangerous doesnt mean we should stop allowing it to be done. its a personal choice, and drives alot of people to get into top physical condition to compete, better than banning the sport(s) and having more people waste time and get fat. sports have kept alot of people off of drugs as well, plus it employs quite a large number of people around the world.

heavy contact sports = dangerous

Brain makes us function, hence it's protected by our skull. To prove that punches to the head damage brain, you just need to know that at least one boxer dies annually after a sanctioned fight. Mostly, it's lighter boys, whose skulls aren't as hard as those of heavyweights. I looked up the numbers a couple of years ago, but too lazy to do it again.

I disagree to because getting hit in the head hurts and it can do alot of damage like brain surgeries for example.

You can ask Mr. Common Sense himself....Mike Tyson! Let him tell you that boxing doesn't cause brain damage while he gets the other side of his face tatooed and pets the pigeons on his roof.

it will obviously harm your head.

Boxing is a CONTACT SPORT and if your seriously going to continue your career as a boxer you better get ready for the dangers that will come.
